Mark your calendars for GiveBIG 2017

We are pleased to announce that St. Joseph School will be participating in The Seattle Foundation’s 2017 GiveBIG event on May 10!

The Seattle Foundation's GiveBIG is a one-day, online charitable giving event to inspire people to give generously to nonprofit organizations who make our region a healthier and more vital place to live.  Each donation* made to St. Joseph School through The Seattle Foundation website between midnight and midnight (Pacific Daylight Time) on Tuesday, May 10, 2017, will receive a prorated portion of the matching funds (or "stretch") pool. The amount of the "stretch" depends on the size of the stretch pool and how much is raised in total donations on GiveBIG day.

Simply log on to and search for St. Joseph School Issaquah and Snoqualmie to make your gift to SJS. Help us spread the word!  This is a great way for alumni, past parents, parishioners, grandparents and friends to support St. Joseph School as part of Seattle's biggest day of giving to nonprofits for the year.  On May 10, look for the GiveBig event on our Facebook page for a direct link to our profile.  If you have any questions about how you can support SJS through GiveBIG, please contact Megan Michalson at

Volunteers needed in preparation for Issaquah Art and Authors Night!

Hello Elementary Parents! I am seeking volunteer help with preparing your children's wonderful art for our fast approaching Issaquah Art and Author Night on May 11.  There are many projects to be glued onto background paper and such.  This is a great way to volunteer from home!  If you are interested, come by the art room in Issaquah on Wednesdays or Thursdays before 9 or after 12 and I will give you a folder with all of the supplies and art with instructions. Then return the same way or to the office.  I can also leave a folder for you in the office if the above times are inconvenient for you.  Thanks so much for your help!  Mrs. Mac.

Volunteers Needed for Parish Appreciation Dinner!

We are looking for 8 middle school students to volunteer on Friday, May 19, for the St. Joseph Parish Volunteer Appreciation Dinner in Fr. McGirl Hall.  We need 4 volunteers to help serve the food, 2 volunteers to replenish the beverage table and 2 volunteers to help with the activities (the photo booth and bingo table). The two students who would help with the activities would start the evening at the photo booth taking pictures and after dinner would run the Bingo event.  Students should arrive at 5:30pm so we can show them what their jobs will entail. This event will end at 8:30pm.  To volunteer, please contact Kathy Rempe at
