Snoqualmie Science and Experts Fair and Art Walk – tonight
Please join us tonight, April 26, from 6:00-7:00pm for the Snoqualmie campus Art Walk, fourth grade Science Fair, and fifth grade Experts Fair. Come and see what our students have been working on!
If you would like to swap/exchange uniforms, Lindsey Reid will be at the Issaquah campus tomorrow, Friday, April 27. She will be in the lower lot at drop off with lots of lightly used uniforms to swap.
Our second round of MAP testing will begin Monday,April 30,and run through June 1. Please look for an email from your child’s classroom teacher with their specific testing schedule. Please do not schedule any appointments and avoid pulling your children out of class during these testing times. You will receive your child’s MAP testing results with the final report card in June.
Coin Drive update
We would like to update you with the final numbers for our Coin Drive.
The Issaquah campus donated $614.00 and the Snoqualmie campus donated $791.01 for a total donation of $1,405.01.
Thank you to everyone for your support of the Coin Drive. We know that our coins are genuinely appreciated!
Snoqualmie Variety Show
Hey, all you rockers, fire-breathers, magicians, unicyclists, opera singers, violinists, and hip-hop dancers! We need you! The SJS Variety Show is looking for some awe-inspiring talent. Start to think about your act now. Participation forms are due to Mrs. Pinto by Friday, May 4and act previews will take place on Thursday, May 17,in Mrs. Pinto’s room after school. There is also a mandatory dress rehearsal on May31, you have lots of time to practice, practice, practice! Participation forms may be printed out here or picked up in the office. Middle School Summer Reading Camp at St. Joseph in Snoqualmie is Back for Summer 2018! – Register by May 15, 2018 and Receive a $50.00 Discount Per Session!
Register now for Reading Camp at SJS in July! Mrs. Brown and Mrs. White are offering sessions for current 5, 6, 7 and 8 grade students. Each camp session is a week-long morning or afternoon focused on a specific novel. Camp sessions include reading, writing, enrichment activities and snacks. The yearbook committee is hard at work creating a book full of memories from the school year and we are looking for yearbook pictures! Do you have pictures from last fall? Do you have pictures of soccer, basketball, or cross country?

The Issaquah position has been filled and we are now looking for Scholastic Book Fair chairs for next fall on the Snoqualmie Campus.
We will offer spring training for this position.

Mandatory Volunteer Requirements:
At St. Joseph School the safety of our students, mind and body, is important to all of us. In order to volunteer in any capacity that involves students such as classroom volunteers, coaches, scout leaders, or field trip volunteers, volunteers must meet the following requirements:
● Go online at virtusonline.org, fill out and pass a Volunteer Background Check every 3 years. Complete associated on-line class.
● Review the Volunteer Handbook early
● Sign a Confidentiality Pledge early (last page of the Volunteer Handbook)
● Attend a volunteer training at St. Joseph School. Scheduled for just prior to either campus’ Back to School Night.
● Sign a Confidentiality Pledge yearly (last page of the Volunteer Handbook),
● Go online at virtusonline.orgto request and pass a Volunteer Background Check.
● Attend a free, 3-hour Safe Environment training program “Protecting God’s Children” for Adults
held in locations throughout the Seattle Archdiocese. (Register for classes atwww.virtusonline.org)
● Send a copy of your certificate of completion to Roxane Barkley in the school office.
