Curious George Party with Mrs. Harig & Mrs. Glaze (Pre-3)

Your preschooler will be transported into the world of Curious George! They'll enjoy two hours of “Curious George” fun with Mrs. Harig and Mrs. Glaze on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Preschool Room! Limited to 16 Preschool students.

Outing with Mrs. Rowe “Shopping and Reading and Lunch, Oh My!” (Pre-4)

What could be better than a lunch and reading outing with Pre-4 teacher, Mrs. Rowe?! Your child and his or her best friend will love some special reading time with Mrs. Rowe at the Issaquah Barnes and Noble, where your child and their friend will select a favorite book to take home. Next, it's time for a yummy lunch at Red Robin to complete your outing, oh my! The memories go on forever! Two Pre-4 students only. No siblings, please. Mutually agreeable date. Parents must arrange transportation. Expires, May 31, 2019

Reading and Lunch Out with Mrs. Deily (Pre-K)

What a special lunchtime for your child and his or her best friend! Mrs. Deily, Issaquah Pre-K teacher, will take your child and a friend on a trip to Barnes and Noble in Issaquah. They’ll each pick out a favorite book to take home! Next, it's on to a yummy lunch at Red Robin. The book and memories are theirs to keep forever! Two Pre-K students only; no siblings please. Mutually agreeable date. Parents must arrange student transportation. Expires May 31, 2019.

PJ's, Pizza, and Movie Night with Mrs. Bechtol and Miss Duncan (Kindergarten)

Wear your coziest PJ's and bring your favorite stuffed animal for a fun-filled evening with Mrs. Bechtol and Miss Duncan at St. Joseph School Issaquah campus! Students will enjoy pizza and root beer floats, and then settle in to watch a popular animated movie on the big screen TV. Each child will take a memento home at the end of the PJ Party! All SJS Kindergartners are welcome. Kindergartners only, please.

Explore Woodland Park Zoo with Ms. Prekaski (1st Grade)

Four first graders will meet Ms. Prekaski at Woodland Park Zoo for an outing filled with adventure and discovery! We'll look for Zoo friends like Zeus the Mountain Goat and tree Kangaroo Joey, along with the lions, tigers and bears, oh my! Limited to four first-grade students. Mutually agreeable time and date. Parents must arrange student transportation.

Pottery Painting with Mrs. Gray (2nd Grade)

A student and three friends (a total of four students) will meet Mrs. Gray for an after-school outing at Mudhouse Pottery in Gilman Village. The four students will enjoy selecting a piece of pottery and using their finely-tuned second-grade skills to create a work of art! Each student will go home with a goodie bag and colorful memories! Total of four students in this one item. Parents must arrange student transportation. Mutually agreeable date before May 15, 2019.

Pottery Painting in Snoqualmie with Mrs. Vanicek (3rd Grade)

One lucky third-grade student and a friend will join Mrs. Vanicek for an afternoon of pottery painting at Color Me Mine in Snoqualmie! Students will also receive fun treat bags to round out a memorable outing. Mutually agreeable date. Parents must arrange student transportation.

Cougar Mountain Zoo with Mrs. Narvarez (3rd Grade)

Two third graders will enjoy strolling through the Cougar Mountain Zoo and enjoying one of the country’s best displays of Mountain Lions! The Lemurs, Cranes, and Reindeer will round out an interesting and educational day at the zoo! Mutually agreeable date. Parents are responsible for student transportation.

Breakfast of Champions with Mrs. Saddler (4th Grade)

Start your school day on April 17, 2019 with a breakfast of champions lovingly prepared by Mrs. Saddler! Pancakes and all the yummiest breakfast foods will fuel our fourth graders through a day fit for a champion! Open to all 4th graders. Breakfast is April 17, 2019 on the Snoqualmie campus.

Swimming and Kidd Valley Burgers with Mrs. Slagle (5th Grade)

Four lucky fifth graders will get to swim at the Newport Shores Yacht Club in Bellevue. And all that splashing around is going to leave them hungry, so Mrs. Slagle will bring Kidd Valley Burgers and Fries for all! What a great way to welcome summertime!
2 hours of swimming and lunch on a mutually agreeable date after Memorial day. Parents are responsible for student transportation.

Rolling with the Middle School Teachers

Do you know how to pick up a 7-10 split or bowl a turkey? If not, no worries. All you really need to know is how to have fun and how to pick out some rocking bowling shoes! Gather your friends and join your middle school teachers for an after-school bowling party and dinner in Snoqualmie! Spend an hour bowling at Adventure Bowling Center, then saunter back to school for dinner in the top-secret teacher’s lounge. Top off the fun with a monster-sized build-your-own sundae. Open to 25 students. Event will take place on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 3:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Open to all SJS middle school students.

Join Mrs. Moncada for Pottery Painting (Grades K-5)

Your student and a friend will join Mrs. Moncada for an afternoon of spring ceramic painting at the Mudhouse Pottery Painting gallery in Gilman Village. Students will meet at the Mudhouse after school and choose a piece of pottery to paint. Snacks will be provided by Mrs. Moncada for this fun afternoon! Open to students in grades K-5. Mutually agreeable date. Parents are responsible for student transportation.

Artsy Party with Mrs. Mac (Grades 1-4)

Ready, set, create! 10 students will have a blast with an Artsy Party with Mrs. Mac! Spend an afternoon at SJS creating your own works of art with a special, super fun theme! You'll enjoy pizza, games and a treat bag to take home with you! The Artsy Party is Wednesday, April 10, 2019. Open to the first 10 SJS students in 1st through 4th grade to sign up.

Eighth Grade Graduation Reserved Seating and VIP Parking Spot

You are golden as you relax and enjoy dinner with your family before the Eighth-grade graduation! There’s no stress rushing to get there early because Mrs. Rosell has arranged to reserve a VIP parking spot and five “front row seats” just for your family! Graduation is 6/7/2019 on the SJS Issaquah Campus.

Adventure Bowl and Pizza with Mrs. Hughes

Your student and two SJS friends will take on everyone’s favorite PE Teacher and rack up some strikes while bowling at Adventure Bowl in Snoqualmie! This fun time also includes pizza, so come hungry! Game on! Open to three students from SJS. Mutually agreeable date and time. Parents are responsible for student transportation. Expires May 31, 2019.

Your Child Broadcasts the Joke of the Day with Mrs. Barkley

What a fun start to the school day as your child broadcasts the “Joke of the Day” with Mrs. Barkley! Your student will read a joke each day, for one week, over the Issaquah campus intercom system! On Friday of that week, Mrs. Barkley will treat your child to a special lunch and a joke book to keep as a memory of this special week. The student must be present in the Issaquah school office no later than 8:45 a.m. on each day of the announcements. Expires June 1, 2019.

Your Band Student is the Guest Conductor at the 2019 Spring Concert

Bravo! Your SJS Band student will be a guest conductor at the 2019 Spring Concert! The student will receive conducting instruction and will have the opportunity to direct the fifth-grade band. This spring concert will be one to remember! Parent is responsible for student conductor transportation.

Theatre and Treats on Front Street with Mrs. Ostrander

Two students will enjoy a day out on Issaquah's Front Street with Music Teacher Mrs. Ostrander. The first stop will be for a treat at a Front Street restaurant. Next, the lucky students will enjoy a matinee performance at Village Theatre. Show to be determined by teacher and parents. Parents must arrange student transportation to a downtown Issaquah restaurant within walking distance of the theatre on Front Street. Expires June 30, 2019.

Snoqualmie Art Party for Eight Students with Mrs. Henion

Celebrate your student’s birthday with a private painting party for a total of eight students! Creativity is in the air with a two-hour guided-painting lesson using different painting techniques. All materials will be provided. Each student will have their own completed painting on canvas to take home and a photo of this artsy, fun day. Party limited to a total of eight SJS students. Guests must all be SJS students.

Beautiful Northwest Family Hike/ Nature Walk and Picnic with Fr. Todd

Take in the beauty of God’s creation right here in the Issaquah/Snoqualmie area with our hiking Pastor, Fr. Todd! The location of the nature walk or hike will be determined so that it fits the needs of your entire family. The special day with Fr. Todd will also include either a picnic lunch or breakfast to keep your nourished along the way! Mutually agreeable date.

Movies and Treats in Bellevue with Dean of Students, Mrs. Richards (formerly Ms. Cogan)

It’s a big day out for your child and a friend (two students) at Bellevue Square Mall with Dean of Students, Mrs. Richards! Your outing will start with you, the students, selecting a treat at Candy Factory in the mall. Next, it’s a stroll over to the movie theatre to watch an appropriate film and get hot buttered popcorn or one other treat! Mutually agreeable date. Parents are responsible for student transportation.

Double Dip Weekly Library: Two for One SJS Library Books

Library day is going to be TWICE as fun for one child who gets to “double dip” at the school library! Instead of bringing ONE book home, your SJS student gets to bring TWO books home, each week, from the St. Joseph School library! Double the books, means double the reading fun! Double dipping good until March 2020.

Burgers and Books with Mrs. Myers

Who doesn’t love burgers and books? This will be a fantastic and fun outing for your child and his or her friend (two students). Our St. Joseph School Issaquah Campus Technology teacher, Mrs. Myers, will take the two students on a trip to Barnes and Noble in Issaquah. After reading books, you'll each pick out your favorite to take home. Next, it's lunch at Red Robin and the book and the memories are yours to keep forever! Mutually agreeable date. Parents must arrange student transportation. Expires May 31, 2019.
