My name is Stephanie Watrous. This is my 11th year teaching at St. Joseph School and I am happy to begin another year in 3rd grade. I graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Psychology in 1996. In 2006 I went back to school and received my Masters in Education in 2008 from the University of Phoenix. I have benefited from teaching students of all ages from preschool to 8th grade while I substituted for 2 years at St. Joes. I was a classroom teacher in both 2nd and 4th grade. My experience with both 2nd grade and 4th grade give me the ability to really know where students are coming from and where they are going. I grew up in Issaquah attending St. Louise School and St. Joseph Church. I have been married to my husband, Ken, for 22 years and we have two children, Mason who is 18, and Ali who is 16. Mason is a Senior at O'Dea High School and Ali is a Junior at Issaquah High School. I love spending time with my family, going on bike rides, hikes or relaxing on our boat in the summers. I believe the classroom should be a safe place in which children are able to receive a positive and successful learning experience. This type of environment will allow students to develop skills, achieve their goals and develop a love of education and knowledge. I look forward to working with you to provide a wonderful learning experience for your child. It is important that you know my door is always open. If there is anything you feel I should know about your son or daughter or if you have any questions or concerns please contact me and I would be happy to talk. God Bless.
